You are a Badass
How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life
By: Jen Sincero
Theme: Life Motivation
The power-book you need to go after everything in life! This book will open your eyes to the limiting self-belief that is controlling your life.
“I’m not that type of person that just goes after what I want”, “I’m not good enough yet to try that”, “I’m not a fancy person like them to wear nice clothing”…. have you heard yourself say stuff like this? Do you know that none of that is actually true? It’s only ideas and beliefs we absorb from our surroundings; society, family & friends growing up.
Reading this book is like she is giving you permission to be whoever you want to be, break free from those rules so you can finally become the person you want to be, and be a Badass when doing what you want!
The Magic of Thinking Big
The true secret of success — how to earn more, lead fearlessly and live a happier life.
By: David Schwartz, PhD
Theme: Goal Setting
You will take notes on every page in this book! This book will inspire you to think about the big picture, set big goals, and stop worrying about the next small bump in the road. You will learn WHY you will actually get further if you think big instead of worrying about the small problems in front of you.
You might think that it’s smart to go with the flow, that you need to only focus on the next obstacle that pops up and if you keep your head down you will end up somewhere good. I’m sorry but that’s not how this works.
It has been shown that you will have a much higher chance of success, feel happier, better at tackling problems, have better relationships with people, and be more positive about the future if you have the mindset of Thinking Big! Pew! I know that’s a lot to promises from one book! But I promise you that this book is worth sitting down to read!
The Sublte Art of Not Giving a Fuck
A Counterintuitive approach to living a good life
By: Mark Manson
Theme: Life Motivation
Don’t stress about the useless stuff in life. Care about what really matters, because we only have a limited time on earth so don’t waste your energy & the fucks you have to give, on stupid shit. Most people drift through life, getting upset & giving too much energy to things that other people told them they should care about. This is to further their own agenda, sell something, make you work for them, or make them look good so they can get ahead in life. It’s time for you to stop giving all your F’s to them and instead make a list of what you DO want to give you a limited amount of energy to.
If you are not too taken back by his very frank language and F’s he says, this book is great fun & refreshing to read.

Live a meaningful life
By: The Minimalists, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus
Don’t let stuff & clutter get in the way of a happy & meaningful life!
Ok, this might be cheating, but I’m not going to simply recommend one book to you here. An easier way to start your journey into Minimalism can be by watching their Documentary on Netflix called Minimalism. To dive deeper I recommend checking out the YouTube channel of ‘The Minimalists’ or their Podcasts.
Why do I think you should learn about Minimalism? It’s for you to break out of the rat race of working hard with something that makes you miserable, just to earn money so you can buy stuff to make you happy and feel successful (for a moment). The documentary & book will change your view of these types of consumption-goals society tells you that you need in life. It’s actually the opposite!
Consumption is making us miserable! There is no correlation between owning more stuff (clutter, clothes, watches, iPhones, cars, houses, etc.) to being happier and feeling fulfilled in life!
“After a pair of life-changing events, they discovered minimalism, allowing them to eliminate their excess material things so they could focus on life’s most important “things”: health, relationships, passion, growth, and contribution.”

How to Win Friends and Influence People
By: Dale Carnegie
The classic book that gets recommended everywhere (I look all over the internet for lists on books to read, this is mentioned a lot).
It’s because it works! Ok, some references are outdated because it’s written before the digital age when men were in charge of business deals & transporting building materials were a gold mine on the American market.
But some things are the same; how we like to talk be talked with, that we want to be listened to, have a meaningful purpose, feel helpful, and what people we are influenced by. Immediately when I finished listening to this book, I wanted to listen through it again. It’s really good!
You are a Badass at Making Money
Master the mindset of wealth
By: Jen Sincero
This one is about your relationship with money! I also think this is the best introduction to manifestation, what it is and how to apply it in a practical way for your success. This book is equal parts about your relationship to money, what value it holds to you, how to stop holding yourself back from receiving more money, how to act when you have money & she will give you a kick in the back with motivation for you to feel like a Badass at Making Money.
We all say that we want money if it’s given to us, but many of us feel strange about asking for a higher salary, buying something nice for ourselves, or going for that great business deal that makes us a boss with gaining money.
Have you ever thought this to yourself?
“Money is evil and makes people shallow! What will other people think if I wear this? It’s rude to ask for more money, I should just get what they give me!”
This book breaks the limitations that we have about what we are worth!

Who Moved my Cheese?
An amazing way to deal with change in your work and in your life
By: Dr. Spencer Johnsson
How to see the change and embrace it as a natural part of life. Remember to laugh at yourself when you make mistakes. Being prepared for change and follow a new path is the key to success in the future or work & business.
The learnings are told through a modern version of a fable using animals to represent different personality types and how they act when phased with change.
It is worth reading or listening to the full book, but in summary:
- Be prepared for change (always have an updated CV & Portfolio).
- Don’t stay in a bad situation because of stubbornness or your ego.
- Change is a natural part of life; not a negative reflection on you when you change with it.
Eat that Frog!

One of the best books about being productive by identifying the key things in your work that gets you 90% of the results.
This book has both great learnings as well as tasks for you to take real action to work better.
